Ben Ansah and Sue Youn on Dragons Den

Congratulations to Ben Ansah and Sue Youn, the couple behind street food and Korean sauce company Yogiyo! who secured £50,000 of funding from one of the investors in TV show Dragons’ Den in the episode screened on Sunday 16 August.

You can watch their TV pitch on the BBC website here (43’10” into episode 6 – but the video will only be on the website for the next four weeks). 15 minutes of compelling viewing.

The Evening Standard on 17 August carried the story

What was great is that Yogiyo! received offers from three of the dragons. One of them wanted to take a back seat, another found Yogiyo!’s street food concept exciting (a “cool Korean Nando’s“), while the Dragon with whom they ended partnering was enthused by their plan to take their bottled sauces into UK supermarkets. An October release is anticipated in 430 Sainsburys stores nationwide, and for the moment they’ll be putting their Leather Lane food truck on hold.

Coming soon to Sainsburys

Great brand name, nice user-friendly look to the bottles… Good luck, I hope they do really well.
